Arc Raiders First Wave Cache Meta Guide | U4GM

You know that feeling when the storm is shoving you sideways, the first cache marker is empty, and somebody starts shooting from a roof you can't even see? That's Hurricane hunting. It isn't a sightseeing tour. First Wave Caches pull from Raider Cache points, but only some are active each round. Keep ARC Raiders BluePrints in mind when judging a run, because materials and gear matter too; a clean extract beats chasing one more distant marker.

Storm Dates and Trial Points

Hurricane conditions arrived on February 24, 2026, on the outdoor maps only. Stella Montis stays out because its spaces are indoors. The March 3 reward change slightly lowered rare blueprint frequency and raised high-tier material drops. Version 1.39.0 landed July 28 with no listed cache-placement or reward change. From July 28 through August 3, Search Raider Caches pays 800 Trial points per successful search. An opened cache can still offer the qualifying interaction, so walk up and check it.

Stop for a few seconds at each likely point and listen for the repeating electrical hum;
Turn in place, then check behind rubble, low walls, road edges, and terrain dips;
Leave an empty spot quickly and move to the next connected landmark;
Set an extraction threshold before deployment, such as two searches or a full pack;

One Empty Marker Can Ruin Everything

The obvious plan is simple: memorize every possible spot and sweep the map. In practice, that sends players into the wind, across exposed ground, and into areas another Raider just cleared. The miss usually happens when someone spends a minute combing one silent landmark, then doubles back for an isolated point. Run three zones at most. Start with the closest cluster, take a second cluster only if wind and gunfire allow it, then make the third one part of your exit line. On Dam Battlegrounds, link Testing Annex west fields, Water Treatment, Hydroponic Dome, and Power Generation Complex. In Buried City, Church Ruins, Pharmacy, Library, and Piazza Roma make a tighter chain.

Pick Maps for the Run You Have

Dam Battlegrounds is the fast Trial choice. Controlled Access Zone, Red Lakes, Electrical Substation, and the south swamp give it plenty of options, but sightlines are brutal. Buried City is better once you know its exterior routes: Plaza Rosa, Town Hall, Marano Park, Hospital, Dune's End, metro plazas, and Space Travel all reward careful audio checks. Blue Gate is calmer-pair Ancient Fort, Highway Collapse, and The Checkpoint, or work Olive Grove toward Pilgrim's Peak and Raider's Refuge. At Spaceport, don't cross half the map for one chance. Stay around Staff Parking and Maintenance Hangar, or Fuel Lines, Fuel Processing, Water Towers, and Service Buildings.

Questions Players Keep Asking

Should you search every marker? No-give each one a short listen, then keep moving. Is Dam always best? Not when Blue Gate puts you beside a safe cluster or Spaceport starts you near Fuel Processing. First, read the wind. Second, search nearby connected ground. Third, leave when your score and pack are already solid. If you need a quick reminder of which ARC Items deserve a slot, check it before deploying; then let the storm route decide the rest.
